Application

For use in lacquer spraying booths, chemical laboratories, chemical industry, petroleum chemistry, etc. The radial EMT fans are manufactured in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001 and the standard PN-EN 13980.

Designed for use in potentially explosive environments, other than coal mines and dog headings.

Equipment meets requirements set for the group II, category 2G/3G - zone 1 and/or 2 (Z1 and/or Z2) and 2D – zone 21 and/or 22 (Z21 and/or Z22) or category 2G/D. Awarded with a CE mark and meets requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC.

Construction

The EMT fans are provided with painted aluminum rotors. All versions of EMT feature a rotor balanced according to ISO 19464. Housing made of aluminium alloys, covered with powder paint (colour RAL 9005 – black).

To minimize the risk of sparking, some segments have been made of brazen and/or aluminum sheet. The fan is provided with a protective mesh on the inlet and outlet along with an earth clamp, as standard.

Electric motor

The fans are provided with reinforced EEx electric three-phase motors (230/400V or 400/690V, 50 Hz) and are adapted for operation within potentially explosive environments; temperature class T3 for gases (categories 2G and 3G); and T125C for dusts (categories 2D and 3D)..

On request, we can supply motors with a different temperature rating and various housing protection e.g., types nA, d, de. The EMT fans are designed for transporting media within the temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, provided that the temperature around the electric motor is within the range of -20°C - +40°C. 

Depending on the version of EMT fan, transported media may include: gas fumes, aerosols and dusts. Standard configuration of the fans is LG270; other configurations are available on request.  Different configurations are available for the fans EMT-160 and EMT-290. Selected models can be supplied in a version adapted for inverter control. Any non-standard and special orders require prior contact with Venture Industries Sp. z o.o.

NOTE

The user and fitter of the equipment are under obligation to comply with the rules and regulations specified in Directive 99/92/EC (“ATEX USERS”) (89/391/EWG) concerning minimum requirements in terms of improving the health and safety protection of workers potentially at risk from explosive environments. 

Vibration dampeners and a vibration monitering systems are mandatory for fans of 2D category (auxiliary accessories available at specialist suppliers). We recommend installation of protective mesh on the inlet and outlet of the fan, alongside vibration monitoring systems and vibration dampeners for all categories of this equipment.
